Do you wish your nose had more length to it? Do you find that your nose would look better with more angles? Many men and women find themselves asking these questions, and are unfortunately stuck in that dilemma for most of their lives. Of course, there is surgery.
However, some may not have the courage to undergo a risky procedure, while others may not have the financial means. This is why they go looking for cheaper solutions and, interestingly enough, there are a few devices in the market which offer that.
One of the products available today is one that is called “Nose Up.” It is a plastic nose clip that helps shape and lifts the nose without having to go through surgery. It is actually quite amazing how this product earned good reviews from a lot of bloggers who are struggling to give their nose a few more inches or definition.
Nose Up is a product of Japanese ingenuity. There are other similar products just like this one, but give it to the Japanese to pretty much create anything for every little concern, no matter how silly it may look.
Nose Up is a device, which is an improved version of the common clothesline clip, which others would amusingly put on their nose with the intent of making it longer, slimmer or upturned. This nose clip is made to create a tight grip on the nasal structure so that it molds it into one that is more defined.
Does this really work?
Although it is easy to get skeptical about it, but an explanation to how it could create results is that the nose is made up of cartilage. It is a moldable tissue that is basically composed of 90% water. If bones can be corrected with traction or if spines can be fixed using braces then how much more with cartilage.
This is the premise of the product, which actually makes sense. Another example is how women in China make their feet smaller using a binding technique. Although a lost tradition, this is an example of how bones, and yes also cartilage, could be molded into a certain shape with repeated pressure.
Comfort
But of course, if you want to achieve significant change with Nose Up you have to be diligent and also sacrifice enough to put it on for several minutes a day. It is actually designed in a way that it fits snuggly onto your nose. Compared to other similar products, such as Nose Magic or the nose massager, I find this one more convenient to wear. However due to the snug fit, you won't be able to breathe through your nose.
Price
What makes this product really a hit among those who are fond of finding cheap alternatives is that they are so affordable. The price for a Nose Up is around $1-$2. This is straight up cheaper than surgery, although you do have to be very patient for results.
Results
Now when it comes to the results, many are actually commending this product that it somehow created a change in the structure of their nose. However, you do have to understand that these results verge along the lines of being very subtle. So if your goal is to make significant improvements, then this is not the product for you. Some say that it improved their wide bridges; others find their nose slimmed down a bit.
However, it is still a fact that it may make the nose slimmer or give the illusion that it is longer, but it does not smooth out any bumps. Although effective to some extent, but the results are definitely limited.
Reviews
It is actually quite surprising how a lot of people are commending this product. On Amazon, it got an average rating of 3 stars. Many people like how something so inexpensive are giving them results, albeit being very subtle. But at least with repeated use and a whole lot of discomfort, they are able to find some results out of their sacrifice.
This product is definitely a quirky and yet effective in its wake. However, the results may not be permanent. Although it may not really hold a candle to nose surgery, at least it is a convenient fix for those who may not have the budget or courage for an invasive procedure.
